What We Test and Why It Matters

Every test we run follows NM Cannabis Control Division requirements and is performed by our trained analytical team using validated methods.

Potency Analysis

Using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), we quantify 13+ cannabinoids including THC, THCA, CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBN, and CBC. Accurate potency data is required on every product label sold in New Mexico and directly impacts how your product is priced and perceived by consumers.

Microbiology Testing

We screen for pathogenic microorganisms using quantitative PCR (qPCR), the gold standard for detection speed and accuracy. Our panel covers Aspergillus species (A. fumigatus, A. flavus, A. niger, A. terreus), Salmonella, Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC), and Listeria. A single failed micro test can pull a batch from shelves. We help you catch it first.

Pesticide Screening

Our LC-MS/MS platform screens for 22+ pesticide compounds including organophosphates, pyrethroids, carbamates, and fungicides. NM requires all cannabis to pass pesticide testing before sale. Our methods detect residues at parts-per-billion levels, protecting consumers and keeping your operation compliant.

Residual Solvents

For concentrates, oils, and extracts processed with chemical solvents, our headspace GC-MS analysis screens for 15+ compounds including butane, propane, ethanol, hexane, benzene, and heptane. Residual solvent limits are strictly enforced in NM. This test is mandatory for any solvent-based extract before it can be sold.

Terpene Profiling

We identify and quantify 23+ terpenes including myrcene, limonene, caryophyllene, linalool, pinene, and terpinolene using GC-MS analysis. Terpene data distinguishes your cultivar, informs buyers about aroma and effect, and adds significant value to your certificate of analysis.
